Biografía del autor:
As a child Linda Newbery was a secret writer, filling exercise books with stories which she hid in her wardrobe. Now she is a published author of over forty books, mainly children’s and teenage fiction. She has been shortlisted for many prestigious literary prizes and has won the Costa children’s book award.
Linda lives in an Oxfordshire village and enjoys yoga, gardening, walking and the cinema.
Linda Iris Newbery (nacida el 12 de agosto de 1952) es una escritora británica mejor conocida por la ficción para adultos jóvenes , donde entró en el mercado, aunque ha ampliado su rango para abarcar todas las edades. Publicó su primera novela Run with the Hare en 1988, mientras aún trabajaba como profesora de inglés en una escuela integral . Su novela Catcall de 2006 ganó el premio de plata del premio Nestlé Children’s Book Prize .
Newbery es tutor regular de la Fundación Arvon y es miembro de la Sociedad de Autores y la Sociedad de Autores Dispersos.
