Liu Si-Yuan ,Profesor de Teatro, Ph.D. Universidad de Pittsburgh). El profesor Liu imparte cursos de historia del teatro, drama, teatro asiático y teatro intercultural. Su investigación se centra en el teatro chino moderno y tradicional del siglo XX y el teatro asiático-canadiense. Sus libros publicados incluyen Transforming Tradition: The Reform of Chinese Theatre in the 1950s and Early 1960s (autor, Michigan 2021), Socialist Theatres of Reform: Rethinking Chinese Performance Practice and Debate in the Maoist Period (coeditor, Michigan 2021), Routledge Handbook of Asian Theatre (2016), Modern Asian Theatre and Performance 1900-2000 (coautor, Methuen 2014), The Methuen Drama Anthology of Modern Asian Plays(coeditor, 2014) y Performing Hybridity in Colonial-Modern China (Palgrave Macmillan 2013).
Su trabajo ha aparecido en revistas como Asian Theatre Journal, Theatre Journal, Theatre Survey, Theatre Research International, TDR y Modern Chinese Literature and Culture . Es editor de Asian Theatre Journal y ex presidente de la Association for Asian Performance.
